Paul is writing to remind the Christians in Rome to live lives worthy of their faith by putting on the “armor of light.” He is asking us to be present in this and not be distracted by the attractions of the world. So in anticipation of a world changed by Christ, Paul is instructing us through the Romans to live now as if the Kingdom of God was already on Earth.
Our guide asks us to consider how we will be living in the rooms of our homes this advent and to bless each of them inviting Christ to come into our homes. I have started this by the process of decorating trying to be thoughtful as to what we will be doing in these rooms to prepare for Christ with us. Is there anything special you are doing that invites Christ into your home?
