Sunday, March 1 – Reconciling Congregation vote – 11:15 am
We have had conversations, meetings, read books and spent time in discernment over becoming a nationally recognized Reconciling congregation, letting everyone know that all are included in God’s love. On Sunday, March 1 we will take a vote by written ballot. (If you cannot attend on March 1, contact the church office to vote in advance)
Monday, March 2 – Fremont Book Club – 7 pm
At our Monday night book group, we choose the next 3 books. For March, we will be reading Barbara Kingsolver’s “Unsheltered”. This story follows two families on the brink of homelessness. Please, join us at Donna Leslie’s home

In light of our continuing effort to address racial equity, we’d like to highlight this event that could guide and enrich this important work:
Beginning March 4th, for 4 sessions – White Supremacy in Oregon: History and Current Events – an opportunity to learn and gain skills for change.
Participants in the course will delve into Oregon’s history and current realities and collectively build an understanding of how Oregon’s whiteness has and does function, providing a basis on which to move forward to develop a better future for all. The meetings run 6:30 – 9:00 pm beginning March 4th at Trinity UMC, 3915 SE Steele St., Portland, OR 97202
