Alameda Ladies Choir Concert

Alameda Ladies Choir is a brand new ensemble of self-identified women who enjoy singing pop music from various decades! The group is excited to perform music including “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper, and “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish. Lindsay Hogan energetically directs the group alongside Jonathan Roberts, their talented accompanist.

A Sensational Century of Stardom
Grant High School Performing Arts Center
This two-hour show will be presented both evenings in the Grant High School Auditorium and will feature current students, special guests and Grant alumni in a range of entertaining performances. In addition, the audience can enjoy nostalgic photos and learn about the history of theatre, music and dance at Grant. The show features performances from current student groups including the Royal Blues, Grant Dance Collective, Jazz Ensemble, the cast of Grease, and the mysterious Ghostly Figures. Alumni emcees and an alumni cast from A Midsummer Night’s Dream will dazzle. There will also be special guest appearances from pianist Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini and former Grant HS Vocal Music Director Doree Jarboe.

Alameda 5K Monarch Walk
Gather in the Garden Fever Parking Lot
Come meet your neighbors and join the fun at this free family event. Explore the neighborhood on an (almost) 5K walk beginning and ending the parking lot of Garden Fever. Look for lots of fund activities and hidden treasurer along the route! We will visit the Alameda Monarch Habitat Garden, and Ida Galash, our “Butterfly Lady” will demonstrate how to create your own butterfly garden. Local vendors, including artists Amy Daileda and J. Wertheim will be on hand selling arts and crafts that celebrate native plants and creatures. Sponsored by the Alameda Neighborhood Association.

Hosted by the Alameda Neighborhood Association: The ReStore donation truck will be in our neighborhood! Restore will be collecting any items you would like donate including furniture, appliances, lighting and electrical, lawn and garden, home goods, decor and more! All items must be clean, stain-free, ready to sell as-is, and complete with all the pieces. Check out our Donation Guidelines for a full list of items that will be accepted. Please check the guidelines to verify that Restore will be able to take your items.
